On 13/3, WD today introduced the new hard drive to store the data center, reducing to a minimum the power consumption compared with the high-capacity hard drives 3.5-inch. WD hard drives Re + is the latest in the line drive in the list of storage devices for the high-capacity data center of WD. The upgrade reflected in that drive product line for central storage and WD WD Se Re will have a capacity of up to 6 TB, creating more storage options for customers, changing according to the needs of their intensity applications, optimized performance and cost effectiveness.
With pressing needs on the level of power consumption in the infrastructure cloud computing network size as big as today, and the hard drive WD Re + consumes only 6 watts to 6 TB, total cost of ownership increased customer and savings for large projects can run into the millions of dollars each year.
WD Hard Drive Re + provide 1.2 million hours MTTF, RAFF technology to promote increased tolerance to vibration, endurance work intensity and magnitude increases reliability for workload 550 TB each year - The highest intensity of work of any 3.5-inch WD hard drive does. Drives WD Re + New and WD Re share a common platform to simplify the deployment of large-scale, increased reliability and performance that customers expect from the products of WD for center large storage .
Hard drives and WD WD Re Se 6 TB will be available for the product in the next quarter.
